Former Arsenal prospect Krystian Bielik was involved in extraordinary scenes during Cardiff City's 2-0 defeat to Portsmouth after appearing to grab a home supporter by the throat during a confrontation at Fratton Park.
The incident occurred in the second half with Cardiff trailing 2-0. Bielik had gone towards the touchline to retrieve the ball when a Portsmouth supporter appeared to throw it away rather than return it to the Cardiff player.
Bielik then reached into the stand and appeared to grab the supporter around the neck.
The fan reacted by pushing Bielik away and appearing to slap him, turning the exchange into a brief physical confrontation between the Cardiff player and the spectator.

FA Could Still Take Action Against Bielik
The absence of an immediate punishment does not automatically mean Bielik is beyond disciplinary action.
The Football Association can examine incidents retrospectively when footage provides evidence of potential misconduct that was not punished by the referee during the match.
Cardiff head coach Brian Barry-Murphy indicated after the game that he expected the incident to be reviewed by the FA.
That means Bielik could still face disciplinary proceedings if the governing body determines that his actions breached its regulations.
Any potential sanction would depend on the evidence available, including the video footage, the referee's report and the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.
The FA could ultimately decide that no further action is necessary, but it also has the option of charging Bielik if it believes his conduct warrants punishment.

The circumstances make the incident particularly unusual.
Players regularly face provocation from supporters, particularly during heated Championship matches, but physical contact between a player and a spectator represents a significant escalation.
Bielik's reaction came after the supporter had thrown the ball away, while the fan subsequently appeared to retaliate physically after Bielik reached towards him.
The two actions will therefore form an important part of any potential review rather than the incident being viewed in isolation.
For now, there has been no confirmed retrospective suspension or fine against Bielik.
What is clear is that the midfielder avoided punishment from the referee on the day, but the FA retains the possibility of examining the footage and deciding whether further disciplinary action is appropriate.
