UEFA has officially confirmed the stadiums that will host the next two UEFA Europa League finals, with the competition's showpiece heading to Bucharest in 2028 and Belgrade in 2029.


The National Arena in Bucharest, Romania, will stage the 2028 final, while the newly developing National Stadium Serbia in Belgrade has been selected for the 2029 showpiece.

2028: National Arena Gets Another Europa League Final

The 2028 Europa League final will return to National Arena in Bucharest.


The Romanian capital has previous experience of hosting the competition's final. National Arena staged the 2012 Europa League final, when Atlético Madrid defeated Athletic Club.

The stadium also hosted four matches during UEFA EURO 2020, further establishing Bucharest as an experienced host for major European football occasions.

2029: Europa League Final Heads to Belgrade

A year later, UEFA's second-tier club competition will move to Belgrade, Serbia.


The National Stadium Serbia has been chosen to host the 2029 Europa League final. The stadium is currently under construction on the outskirts of Belgrade and is being prepared to become one of Serbia's major football venues.

The decision gives Serbia the opportunity to stage one of UEFA's biggest annual club finals at a new national stadium.

The Next Three Europa League Finals

UEFA has now confirmed the venues for the next three Europa League showpieces.


🏟️ 2027: Stadion Frankfurt, Frankfurt 🇩🇪
🏟️ 2028: National Arena, Bucharest 🇷🇴
🏟️ 2029: National Stadium Serbia, Belgrade 🇷🇸

The choices provide a mix of established European football history and a brand-new venue, with Bucharest returning to the Europa League final spotlight before Belgrade takes over in 2029.

The big question now is which clubs will eventually earn the right to compete for the trophy in these two stadiums.
