Gabriel Jesus Reveals Huge Sacrifice Behind Barcelona Dream After Arsenal Exit

Gabriel Jesus has revealed that he accepted a significant pay cut to leave Arsenal and join Barcelona, admitting that the opportunity to play for the Spanish giants was simply too important to turn down.

The Brazilian forward completed his move to Barcelona on Tuesday, signing a contract until June 2029 after the Catalan club reached an agreement with Arsenal worth around €10 million (£8.6m), with potential add-ons.

For Jesus, however, the transfer was about far more than money.

At 29, the former Manchester City striker has finally realised a long-standing ambition of playing for Barcelona — and he was prepared to take a financial hit to make it happen.
