The UEFA Nations League produced another busy night of international football on Monday, with eight matches across Leagues A, B and C.

Italy delivered the biggest attacking performance of the evening by beating Türkiye 4-1, while France maintained their winning start under Zinedine Zidane with a late 1-0 victory over Belgium.

Sweden also impressed against Poland, winning 3-1, while Bosnia and Herzegovina produced a four-goal away victory against Romania.

Elsewhere, Georgia and Ukraine played out a goalless draw, as did Latvia and Cyprus, while Northern Ireland and Hungary could not find a breakthrough.

Italy responded to their opening-day defeat to Belgium in emphatic fashion, beating Türkiye 4-1.

Pio Esposito was among the goalscorers for the Azzurri, who produced a much-improved attacking display after failing to score in their 2-0 defeat to Belgium.

The result gives Italy their first points of the Nations League campaign and puts their opening setback firmly behind them as Group A1 begins to take shape.

For Türkiye, the defeat leaves them still searching for their first point after two matches.

UEFA highlighted Italy's four-goal performance as one of the major stories from Monday's action.

France Leave It Late Against Belgium

France maintained their perfect start with a 1-0 victory over Belgium, but they had to wait until the closing stages to settle the contest.

Michael Olise produced the decisive moment in the 88th minute, finding the breakthrough after Belgium had held France at bay for much of the match.

The victory means France have now won both of their opening Group A1 fixtures.

It was also another important result for Zinedine Zidane at the beginning of his tenure as France head coach.

Belgium had opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over Italy, but they were unable to follow that result with another positive result against France.

Sweden Pull Away From Poland

Sweden claimed a 3-1 victory over Poland in Stockholm to move onto six points from their opening two matches.

Benjamin Nygren opened the scoring before Sebastian Szymański restored parity for Poland.

Sweden regained control after the break, with Yasin Ayari putting the hosts back in front before Viktor Gyökeres added the third.

The result gives Sweden a perfect start to their Nations League campaign after their opening 2-1 victory over Romania.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Score Four in Romania

Bosnia and Herzegovina produced another standout result by defeating Romania 4-2 in Bucharest.

The six-goal contest became one of the night's most entertaining matches, with Bosnia finding the net four times to claim their first victory of the campaign.

Romania, who had lost 2-1 to Sweden in their opening match, remain without a point after two games.

For Bosnia, the result represents a major response after their opening 0-0 draw against Poland.

Three More Draws Across Leagues B and C

There were also three matches that ended without a winner.

Georgia 0-0 Ukraine saw both teams share the points in Group B2. Ukraine had started the campaign with a 1-0 win over Hungary, while Georgia had lost narrowly to Northern Ireland.

In Group C2, Latvia 0-0 Cyprus ended in another goalless draw.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary produced the same scoreline in Group B2.

Northern Ireland had entered the match after beating Georgia 1-0 in their opening fixture, while Hungary were looking for a response after losing 1-0 to Ukraine.

The three draws meant that Monday's eight-match programme produced 22 goals, with Italy's four-goal victory and Bosnia's 4-2 win providing the night's biggest scorelines.

Montenegro Snatch Five-Goal Thriller

The evening's other victory came in League C, where Montenegro defeated Armenia 3-2 in Yerevan.

Armenia had started the campaign with a 2-0 victory over Latvia, while Montenegro had beaten Cyprus 2-1.

The five-goal contest therefore produced another important result in Group C2, with Montenegro moving onto six points alongside Armenia after two rounds.

The decisive goal came late, with Montenegro securing the victory after Armenia had twice found a way back into the contest.

What Monday Changed

After two matchdays, several teams have already made strong starts, while others are facing an early battle to recover ground.

France and Belgium entered Monday with three points apiece in Group A1, but France's victory leaves them with a second consecutive win while Belgium remain on three points.

Italy's four-goal response, meanwhile, means all four teams in the group have now experienced both victory and defeat across the opening two rounds.

In Group B4, Sweden's perfect start has put them in a strong early position, while Bosnia and Herzegovina's four-goal win has also opened up the group.

There is still a long way to go in the league phase, but Monday's results have already created plenty of early storylines.
