Charles Barkley has made a bold prediction about San Antonio Spurs guards Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper, comparing the young duo to Golden State Warriors legends Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
Barkley believes Castle and Harper could develop into the NBA's next great backcourt partnership, highlighting the potential he sees in San Antonio's young stars.
The comparison comes after the Spurs reached the NBA Finals last season, losing the championship series in five games. Castle and Harper are now expected to play important roles as San Antonio attempts to take another step forward.
Comparisons with Curry and Thompson naturally create enormous expectations, considering the Warriors duo won multiple championships together and became one of basketball's most celebrated backcourts.
For San Antonio, however, the bigger priority will be development rather than matching those achievements immediately.
Barkley's prediction may be ambitious, but it reflects the growing excitement surrounding the Spurs' young core.
