South Korean wing Hyunjung Lee has moved one step closer to his NBA dream after signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.
The one-year, non-guaranteed agreement gives Lee an opportunity to compete for a roster place during training camp. He could also spend time with Portland's G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix.
Lee previously played for the Illawarra Hawks in Australia's NBL, where he averaged 7.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists across two seasons while shooting 37.7 per cent from three-point range.
The 25-year-old has also played in Japan, the G League and internationally for South Korea.
His shooting ability could be his biggest selling point as he attempts to make the final NBA roster. For now, the Exhibit 10 deal is not a guarantee, but it gives Lee another opportunity to prove he belongs at the highest level.
