Bournemouth Complete Swoop for Juventus Goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Michele Di Gregorio from Juventus, with the Italian goalkeeper moving to the Premier League on a season-long loan.

The transfer has now been officially confirmed by Juventus, bringing Di Gregorio's two-year spell in Turin to an end and giving him his first opportunity to play club football outside Italy.

Di Gregorio heads to England

The 29-year-old goalkeeper joined Juventus from Monza in 2024 and made 84 appearances for the Bianconeri across all competitions.

He now begins a new chapter at Bournemouth, where he will provide competition between the posts as the Cherries strengthen their squad for another Premier League campaign.

The deal initially runs until 30 June 2027. Juventus have confirmed that Bournemouth paid an initial €1.3 million loan fee, which can rise by up to €800,000 through sporting bonuses.

Bournemouth have option to buy

The agreement also includes an option for Bournemouth to make the transfer permanent.

The Cherries can sign Di Gregorio outright for a further €12.7 million, with another €1.5 million potentially payable through bonuses.

That gives Bournemouth the opportunity to assess the goalkeeper during the 2026/27 season before deciding whether to make his stay permanent.

Juventus move on

Di Gregorio's departure forms part of a wider reshaping of Juventus' goalkeeping department.

After arriving in Turin in 2024, he quickly established himself as an important member of the squad and made his Champions League debut during his first season.

Juventus have since brought in Guglielmo Vicario, opening the door for Di Gregorio to seek regular football elsewhere.

The Italian now has the chance to experience the Premier League and test himself in a completely different environment.

A new challenge awaits

For Di Gregorio, the move represents a significant step in his career.

The goalkeeper has spent his entire club career in Italy, developing through the Italian system before establishing himself in Serie A with Monza and eventually earning his move to Juventus.

Bournemouth now offer him an opportunity to prove himself in England.

If he impresses during his loan spell, the Cherries have the option to turn the move into a permanent transfer.

For now, though, the deal is officially a loan rather than a permanent signing.
