Isak Double Fires Liverpool to First Premier League Win as Barcola Makes Reds Debut

Alexander Isak finally delivered the statement performance Liverpool had been waiting for.

Ipswich improved considerably after the two early goals and created periods of pressure, particularly as the second half progressed. But Liverpool's defence held firm and the visitors ultimately saw out the match without allowing the hosts to find a breakthrough.

Araújo's first start therefore provided another positive for Iraola alongside the attacking display.

The result moves Liverpool onto five points from their opening three Premier League matches.

Two draws had created early pressure around Iraola, particularly after Liverpool had twice fallen behind against Newcastle and then surrendered an advantage against Nottingham Forest.
