Liverpool have identified Real Madrid forward Endrick as a potential target, with reports indicating that the Reds have explored a deal for the Brazilian as they continue to assess options in attack.

Liverpool were reported to have considered a permanent move for the 20-year-old, with one report putting a potential proposal at around €65 million (£55 million). However, Real Madrid's position has complicated the situation, with José Mourinho keen to keep Endrick at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Liverpool Put Endrick on Their Radar

Liverpool's interest in Endrick has emerged as one of the more intriguing transfer stories surrounding the Reds.

The Brazilian forward became a target as Liverpool looked to strengthen their attacking options, with his ability to operate both centrally and from the right making him an attractive profile.

Reports from August indicated that Liverpool had made enquiries about his availability, while Brazilian outlet ge reported that the Reds were preparing a potential €65 million proposal for the Real Madrid forward.

However, interest did not automatically mean Real Madrid were prepared to sell.

Why Liverpool Like Endrick

Endrick's versatility is one of the factors behind Liverpool's interest.

Although primarily a centre-forward, the Brazil international can also operate from the right side of the attack.

That versatility could have made him particularly appealing to Liverpool as they searched for additional attacking quality.

His spell at Lyon also strengthened his case.

Endrick spent the second half of the previous season on loan in France, where he produced eight goals and seven assists in 21 appearances.

Those performances helped reignite interest in the young forward after a difficult period for regular minutes in Madrid.

Real Madrid Put the Brakes on a Liverpool Move

The biggest obstacle was Real Madrid's position.

Liverpool reportedly made an enquiry, but Madrid were reluctant to sanction a permanent transfer because they continued to see Endrick as part of their long-term plans.

Mourinho was particularly keen to keep the Brazilian around for the 2026/27 campaign, making a Liverpool deal difficult to complete.

That stance meant Liverpool had to look at alternative attacking targets rather than relying on Endrick becoming available.

Endrick's Situation Has Changed Again

The situation surrounding Endrick has continued to develop.

Recent reports from Brazil say the 20-year-old has struggled for opportunities at Real Madrid this season and is considering his future ahead of the next transfer window.

UOL reported on October 3 that Endrick had played only four minutes across eight matches this season, while Roma and AC Milan have renewed their interest.

That could potentially reopen the door for interested clubs — although Liverpool's current position would need to be established again before claiming that the Reds are actively pursuing a January deal.

Liverpool Already Found Another Attacking Solution

Liverpool eventually completed the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain on August 31.

The French forward signed a long-term contract after completing his medical and was presented as a player capable of operating across the front line.

That means any future move for Endrick would have to be considered within Liverpool's wider attacking plans rather than simply as a replacement for an existing target.

Still, the fact that Liverpool previously explored Endrick's availability shows how highly the club viewed his potential.

Could Liverpool Return for Endrick?

The door cannot be completely closed.

Endrick remains one of the most intriguing young forwards in European football, and his situation at Real Madrid could make his future one to watch in the next transfer window.

Liverpool have already shown interest, but there is currently no confirmation that the Reds have reached an agreement or that a January transfer is imminent.

For now, the story is one of Liverpool interest versus Real Madrid's desire to retain Endrick.

If his lack of playing time continues, however, the transfer picture could become much more interesting.
