Alexander Zverev continued his impressive 2026 Grand Slam campaign by defeating Botic van de Zandschulp in straight sets to reach the US Open semi-finals.
The German top seed won 6-2, 7-5, 6-1 at Arthur Ashe Stadium, recovering from an inconsistent start to eventually take complete control of the contest.
Zverev struggled with his serve early in the match and produced five double faults, but he capitalised on his opponent's errors to take the opening set.
After a tighter second set, the French Open champion pulled away in the third.
The victory means Zverev has now reached the semi-finals at all four Grand Slam tournaments in 2026, an extraordinary achievement that underlines his consistency at the highest level.
He has also set a new German men's record with 23 Grand Slam match victories this year, surpassing Boris Becker's previous mark of 22 from 1989.
Zverev will face Karen Khachanov in the semi-finals.
