Coco Gauff produced another remarkable comeback at the US Open, defeating French Open champion Mirra Andreeva to reach the semi-finals.
The American fourth seed recovered from a disastrous opening set to win 2-6, 7-6(7), 6-2. Gauff also saved two match points during the second-set tiebreak before turning the contest around.
It was far from Gauff's cleanest performance. She struggled with her forehand and produced 12 double faults and 42 unforced errors.
However, her ability to remain composed under pressure ultimately proved decisive.
The victory extends Gauff's winning streak to 10 matches and sends her into her first US Open semi-final since winning the tournament in 2023.
Her next opponent will be Elena Rybakina, who has also enjoyed an impressive run in New York.
With a Grand Slam final now within reach, Gauff has once again demonstrated why she remains one of the leading figures in women's tennis.
